"I don't want to make too much of this comparison because it's not the Great Depression, but it's almost like a Joe Kennedy environment. He made all of his money during the Great Depression. If you have money, you can make a lot of money. And if you don't, it's going to be so much more expensive to be poor in this country."
Meredith Whitney
It's always good to point out how expensive it is to be poor, which is something I think everyone, and I mean everyone, tends to forget.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of which, new layout, huh? You goin' pro or something?
Ethan,
ReplyDeleteIf you've got what it takes to nab an entry-level position anywhere it comes back to you pretty quick! Working part-time also helps.
Yes, professional. And I hereby demand $14 grand a year as my salary!
I like kicking it old school but I will probably always favor any design scheme that offers the most space.
As an entry level part-time worker, I should clarify what I meant, which is that even people who daily have to spend enormous wads of money to remain poor tend to forget that this is a fact of their own lives. We get a lot of cultural messaging encouraging this forgetfulness, and it is very convincing.
ReplyDeleteSpace is good, as are blue gradients. Very attractive!
Right. Hard to believe there could be such a thing as misinterpretation on the internet.
