Tragedy as farce

While it may be tempting to take some satisfaction in the unfolding train wreck that is the Republican Party's rapport with ordinary Americans (both agree that a woman's identity may be an obstacle to her thinking like a man, but only Republicans miss that this is the entire point of nominating one), it's important to note how little public sensibilities help steer the course charted by our business-backed betters.
