White House Wants to Cut FAA Budget

The Bush administration wants to trim the Federal Aviation Administration's budget for buying new air traffic control equipment at a time when more planes are in the air.

Can you reference a study that demands the current system needs to be replaced? Maybe he can create more jobs nby hiring firms to upgrade/fix the systems already in place.

It sounds like that's what they were asking for--either upgrade or replacement, depending on the needs of the system. In either case, not exactly something you want to take chances with, I would think...
