Wow!!! No doubt the evilness of those young lawyers was too much for Ashcroft. And things have to be pretty bad to bother someone like Ashcroft.
Know anything about Larry Thompson, Gov. Marc Racicot, or Alberto Gonzales?
I know that Larry Johnson has said that in the past he wouldn't be interested in the job. Also, he just became an executive at PepsiCo, which likely is a better paying job. I guess we'll see what happens tomorrow, as that is when an announcement is expected for a new AG.
Was anyone else surprised that Don Evans resigned? I know he and Bush were close friends, so I figured he'd stick around. I'm thinking he may have resigned so Bush could put him in a different position.
I don't know, Chris, but it's all getting scarier by the minute.
