Dispensing with legislative niceties like holding hearings or full and open debate, President Bush and the Republican Congress have used the cover of a must-pass spending bill to mount a disgraceful sneak attack on women's health and freedom.

They're cowards. Pure and simple. If they want to mount an attack on Roe v. Wade, they should do it out in the open and take off their damn hoods.

Since they seem to think that abstinence is the way to go, perhaps Lysistrata should be required reading for all young ladies.
