"The movie's only powerful moments--of soldiers in Iraq, of the immediate aftermath of the Twin Towers' collapse--come in footage Moore has acquired from other sources."

I was more upset by the footage of the Iraqi woman standing in front of the destroyed building yelling to Allah how she hoped the people responsible for the death of her loved ones would pay. Maybe it's callous of me, but I have considerably less sympathy for jingoistic zealots than the truely innocent lives that are lost.

Regarding the other article--whereas I thought it was a great movie, I have to admit that I wished that Moore had skipped some of his attempts at humor.

I had the same beef with South Park when my ex used to force it on me--that it went back and forth between attemptng to be philosophical and just being outrageous for the sake of it. I think that sort of thing waters down any legitimate content by making the overall picture look less serious. Oh well--no one asked me. As long as it hurts Bush more than helping him, I will be happy.
