White House spokesman on Chavez: "Just because you win a majority of the vote doesn't make your government legitimate."

I guess the White House would have to say that. All it does is remind me of that beautiful Gore speech at the Democratic National Convention:

"...I know from my own experience that America is a land of opportunity, where every little boy and girl has a chance to grow up and win the popular vote."

Right? Or maybe even: "just because you barely win a majority of the vote on the Supreme Court doesn't make your government legitimate."

And RadicalModerate, don't apologize for Bush bashing. It is almost always appropriate. :-)
