Tax Burden Shifts to Middle

from WashingtonPost.com
Since 2001, President Bush's tax cuts have shifted federal tax payments from the richest Americans to a wide swath of middle-class families, the Congressional Budget Office has found, a conclusion likely to roil the presidential election campaign.

Ryan, you find really good articles.

I was having a debate with a Republican earlier this year who was trying to use government stats to make a case that all the claims democrats were making about the tax burden were bogus. I will have to forward him this article.

As the piece points out, it's a bit harder to debate with the Congressional Budget Office. :-)
